Defence

For over 30 years ILM (formerly NEBS Management) has provided civilian accreditation for military training in management and leadership. In 2006 ILM won exclusive national funded contracts with the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force & MoD Civil Service to provide accreditation for their management and leadership through career promotion and development courses.

How ILM supports the sector

ILM has worked closely with the Ministry of Defence, in partnership with dblearning, to develop a leadership and management training structure tailored to the specific needs of service personnel. It offers all personnel interested in leadership and management the opportunity to develop their skills and gain accreditation for their particular roles within the MoD. In addition to increased personal development and practical effectiveness, MoD personnel taking tailored ILM courses receive formal, industry-wide recognition of their management skills, easing the transition to professional civilian working roles at the end of their service careers.
