Civilians and military personnel get the RAF treatment

15 October 2009

Abbeydale Training has been working closely with RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire to design and deliver a range of management and leadership programmes for civilian and military personnel.

RAF instructors work with Abbeydale trainers to deliver a range of management and leadership programmes

To date over a 150 delegates have completed courses and gained ILM qualifications at levels 2, 3 and 5. The programmes have been run jointly by Abbeydale trainers and RAF instructors and have involved delegates in a mixture of classroom training and theory at Leeming and outdoor team activities at the Adrenalin activity centre near Richmond.

The RAF instructors involved in the programmes, Flight Sergeant Neil Willis and Sergeant Ronnie Alexander, were also in charge of outdoor events for television’s Krypton Factor earlier in the year. The lead Abbeydale trainer Mary Eland has been providing similar ILM programmes for other RAF bases at  Linton on Ouse near York and  Digby in Lincolnshire.

Have you got a success story to share? Perhaps you've helped a group of learners to become ILM qualified. Or you've just held a graduation ceremony. Or maybe one of your learners has achieved something as a result of their ILM qualification.
